View Full Version : Akrapovic
All,
I've just had my old can replaced with a new one because of two small scratches. Would anyone be interested in buying the old one, I'm no expert but the scratches may polish out? I'm afraid I'm just to plane lazy...
It's an Titanium finish Akrapovic for a curvy, comes with pipes as well as can and is priced around £600 new
I've attached a couple of pics from my phone below:

... and one from the web site:

May help peeps if you put a price you would like....
Those scratches won't polish out.. You could file them out but it would still look a bot rough.
Got this system on my sv, sounds amazing!

Pretty sure he means the full system, not just the end can.

I think Akrapovic will sell individual parts too- so the winner could probably fit a new front cap. They could definately get a new hanger, M&P sell those.

And you could fit one of those naff looking R & G can protectors. That would hide the damage I think. Price is a bit steep though. We got ours off of e-bay for that and it wasn't damaged. Well not after we polished out the scratches.

Hey, you know what? I reckon you could turn that endcap around and have the damage on the inside instead, it'd be basically invisible then. Can't say for sure but it looks like it...

You could turn it around but it would still hurt it's resale value.
End caps are £60 I believe, last time I checked. Their spares prices are bloody horrific. The owner of akra' should be shot for charging that much. :x

That doesnt look too bad in the pics, you'd probably be able to clean it up by rubbing down & polishing out etc.
Noisie, i reckon £200 is a reasonable price for a second hand Akrapovic full system (although i'm not in the market) provided its not dented/squashed in anyway. Folks considering they're over £500 new, you're saving £300 for the sake of a few scratches that can probably be cleaned up. Boy they're nice exhausts!
Get the impression a few gyptastic people on the site, twenty pound anyone

Not really. It's what they go for on ebay. Jam it up on ebay as is, it won't reach £200 I'm afraid.
Bought mine full akra syatem off ebay few weeks ago, MINT condition/complete. £160.
