Hi,

Was ordering some gaskets from a dealer, and bought a couple of these as well (given that I'm supposed to have changed them everytime I change the oil and haven't) Well, they turned up today and look a little different to what is on there.

Was wondering if anyone could confirm the part number for this - I ordered:

09168-12002

I got the part number off the fiche, but would appreciate a second opinion.

Thanks
Luke

Sounds right to me.

How is it different? The OE one is a funny shaped(cone shaped?) washer .

Cheers
Ben

EDIT: Taliking about a Curvy. MIght be different to the Pointy.

EDIT2: Same part number for both

It's a crush washer. Go to a motor factor.

That's the one! I know it's a crush washer, but we are talking some serious crushing to get it to look like the one on the bike! Either that or it's a non-OE one one there.

I ordered them from P&H in Crawley - about 40p each. They had them in stock, so turned up the next day.

yeah a new copper washer will look a lot fatter than a old one, they crush everytime they get used so they look pretty flat after a while, if it fits and stops any oil leakage then its fine.

any old copper washer will do, there only about 10p,
much cheaper than 3 quid my dealer wants for em.

but saying that, ive just re-used the old one.
