Hello all,

Time for new rubber. My BT010s were a very decisive feeling tire. but front end would step out on occassion. The BT014s I have now never felt quite as tight but my front end never stepped out nearly as much with them on.

Now I am starting to get knee down, and moving most of SV activity to track, but will still have the backroads and occasional wet. I slow way down in the wet with the 014s. That does not bother me. Maybe I should stick with them. They never felt "sharp". They were a little boring. Maybe that's good.

The bike: 2000 SV650 Full exhaust, jetted, geared. gixer shock, Scotts damper, Sonic springs, clip-ons. I love this bike. The liter bikes pass me in the straights but I get em in the tight stuff, that's where the fun is.

Not too worried about wear. Average initial $ would be good. Considering Sportec M1, Diablo, Z6. All brands considered. I don't know. Have been reading here and there. The decision is not getting made. I just don't know that much about tires.

Track / hard street experiences please.

Thanks,
JG

The M1 sticks really well but wears reasonably quickly. I switched to Diablos afterwards and got better mileage with almost exactly the same grip level.

I really like the characteristics with a nice prgressive slide when they do let go and the front is superb. A 70 profile front for sure to give that extra side grip feels wonderful too.

I've been using Michelin Pilot Powers on my CBR. Just changed to Pilot Power 2CT's. Both have been excellent but the 2CT's definitely have more grip in the corners due to the softer edge compound. Never spun them up and front grip feels very good.

I'm getting some Diablos fitted on Saturday, so I'll let you know :)

OK, That's good info.

Ordered the Diablos with the 70 up front.

Will report back.

Great board! Thanks for the help.
