Anyone in London awake at the moment? This is one crazy storm! There were a few flashes of lightning in the distance and then suddenly, whomp, as it went overhead. It was raining so hard I thought it was hail stones! I feel sorry for anyone who may have been out on their bike!
I was out skating
I got wet
Cool though

oooh yes. I did the poltergeist movie thing, counted after the flash, 'one thousand, two..' then KABOOM, things actually rattled in the house. Awesome.

And I though all you southern softies had been moaning about no rain and couldn't water your lawns etc. God you are never happy.
Last time I do a rain dance for you. Right that's it, the trousers are going on and staying on.
Know what you mean though about the Whomp overhead. Had one a few days back, bloody hell that was close as all the car alarms went off. Switched mine off and went back to sleep. To be woken by the bloody fire brigade siren as they turned up to pull a neighbours chimney stack out of his bedroom.
Yep, heard the storm...luckily the car was parked out front so it got a free wash!

I had to put my wipers on full speed!!
Anyhoo, all the selkenters rode home, and to the meet in that rain, becuse thats who we are ;)

I was out in it from when it started. I got absolutely soaked, cos I didn't expect to still be riding as late as I was.
Damn me and my awful sense of direction that lands me in Hackney during rush hour.

I almost ended up at Blackwall Tunnel, as well, but I managed to avoid that.

I love the lightning. Some of my best ever memories are when i lived on islands and watched storms over the sea heading our way.
Last nights was definately a goody for lightning and as i ran out to help our very own Caz load up her car i was suprised by how warm the rain itself was too.

Which is why I missed the Riverhead meet, I went outside at 7pm and could smell it coming, all that ozone.
