To follow Tims obligatory smug Linux user comment, I feel that I should add the obligatory smug Mac user comment....
I've banished by BSOD by buying a Mac.
I never thought that I'd say this, but I prefer it to Linux.

As a smug Windows XP Pro SP2 user, I'd point out that I have had only 2 windows crashes in 3 years and neither of those have resulted in BSOD. Been about 5 years since I've seen one!

I take it you've never seen the Mac's Grey Screen of Death then? At least with a BSOD you get a cryptic message to keep you entertained, the Mac only goes "sorry for the inconvenience blahblahblah, turn this thing off and throw it out the window" thingy!

Ahhhh...you guys...
You've never witnessed the RedSOD in a Lotus Notes client have you?
It's truly legendary. A total restart of your machine is required. awesome!

The only time mine's ever BSOD'd was when I was sabotaging it myself with my overclocking tools. But I may have set records at the time :)
