Wassup with the traffic in Edinburgh this morning - was backed up on the bypass from Sherifhall, freed up briefly around Dreghorn and then was stationary from hte before the M8 off ramp to the round about at the Gyle going into Edin :?: :?: :?:

Drew, thought that was just a normal day in Edinburgh :D
Honestly, was based there for 4 years (at Seafield Road) and having worked in most big cities in the UK, Edinburgh has got to be the worst, its absolute chaos in the mornings.
Best thing they could do is extend the A1 from the Musselborough junction and put it on stilts right round the coast till it reaches Crammond, that would solve it

Nope there was definitely something up - one of my colleagues sat at the Gyle roundabout for an hour (while I sat drinking my Starbucks after filtering through on my 'deathtrap motorcycle' )
Maybe George Dubyas in town and they're welding the manhole covers shut...
It was shocking wasnt it?

Was flooding. Wife called me this morning saying she was stuck in it on her way to work. Whole place ground to a halt.

:? How'd you do that then?

Talking about my deathtrap m/c, just been informed by my line manager that HR want him to do an 'official' interview with me where I can have a legal representation etc due to be off for 5 weeks after I fell off - being off for that long triggers a report to catch skivers. He told them to **** off, he's quite confident that I had actually fallen off and broken my ribs and was not taking the ****...

I got that too when I got back to work... Bit of an extreme length to go to for a few weeks off I thought :) But it was prtty funny hopping into the room on crutches and just unloading on the HR woman. I may have used the words "constructive dismissal" a few times ;) Seemed to work.
