Not happy - but my own fault, I know.
Dropped my SV yesterday - overbalanced when some pillock (can I say that on here?) came flying round a blind bend and I had to break sharply at a junction. Overbalanced and dropped her... :(
Scuffed the can, brake lever and footpeg. Broke the indicator...
Any suggestions for best place to get a replacement? I've called around, but no-one seems to have them in stock...

I feel for you - did similar this morning, tho with less damage.

Hope your bike gets better soon, and if you picked up any bruises etc (you dont mention any damage to you, so I assume your not in any bad way) go away soon.

Nah, I'm fine - just annoyed!
Dented my pride more than anything.
But at least I now know that I can pick the bike up, on a slope with a full tank of fuel...
Thanks for the message though!

(((HUG)))

I know how you feel, I bought my baby on a Saturday, took her for small ride on industrial est same day (no license yet) and dropped her doing a U-turn.

Indicator case broke ... looks like new with aid of some glue and a heated screwdriver, we heat moulded it back together from the inside. We then sprayed it with back to black and I have to say it looks OK.

I will be getting a new one when I stop dropping her

try www.robinsonsfoundry.co.uk. Used to get my parts from P&H in Crawley, but these poeple seem much quicker - give them a ring!

Sorry to hear.

The forum appears to be dropping like flies this weekend!

We've all done it. Don't let it prey on your mind.

Well, you have to be realistic about these things - it was always going to happen at one stage or another. Looking through the threads, there have been a fair few really bad accidents recently and I'm very sorry for those that haven't been lucky enough to walk away...

As regards the damage to the bike, I've been quoted over £30 for the indicator - no stock, of course, but they would order it.
However, I have seen an indicator from a 2003 SV650S and wondered if they are very different. Guess it depends if it if from a curvey or a pointy???

Otherwise - it's the £30 one. It's not the cost, so much as the delivery time that bugs me...
