Today I made my first journey to work by bike not because it was a nice day and I thought it would make a change but because I had to. Lets face it, why else would anyone do that on such a bluddy filthy stinking horrible day, my poor baby got wet and dirty and is having to live outside, she was used to a nice dry garage. However, I firmly believe that I have taken the first step into a larger universe...

South London Traffic on a rainy Monday morning, baptism by fire or what?

Mind you, if I'd taken the car I'd really have been late. I've never filtered so aggressively.

Hehe, went to work on mine for the first time yesterday - and I know what you mean about getting it dirty and cruddy on the roads :(

It did make the 60 mile round trip much more enjoyable though :P

You could always buy my trail bike, absolute hoot in the winter traffic.

Today I walked.

Don't worry, my definition of aggressive filtering is getting around the car in front while the rest of the traffic is stationary in both directions.

I'm lucky that it doesn't rain much here in Malta so riding to work is normal for me. Today it rained a little though so i took the car. Man, it felt so slow going up the hill and my mind still thinks the car can squeeze past stationery traffic and then I remember I'm in my Fiesta and whoosh I'm depressed. Can't stand a dirty bike though thats why I can't make myself to take the bike on filty roads. I think if I had an offroad bike I'd still keep it sparkling. I'm just plain sick :)
