View Full Version : Newbie from north
Moi kaikki! (Hello everybody!)
First I have to tell how sorry I am because my really really bad english... But I try my best
Just found this place, in Finland we don't have anything special for SV drivers.
My name is Heidi, I live in Helsinki, capital of Finland.
I got my first bike this spring (12 of May) at last. Almost ten years I was just dreaming of it.
Red (of course, girls colour) SV650S 2001 <3 Almost 10 000km at this summer. Part of it in race tracks, Ahvenisto (in Hämeenlinna), Alastaro (in Virttaa), Kemora (in Veteli) and Motopark (in Pieksänmaa). I guess 1000km or more...
Summer is really short, but this year it was really warm. I hope we still have some sunny days 8)

Welcome to the site :)I was thinking exactly the same
All we need now is the "this thread is useless without pictues" thingy and we'll be off n running.
Welcome by the way....and as no one has said it yet....welcome to the madhouse :D
Welcome.
Don't worry about the English, it's better than most people on here (me included). I deal with foreign people all the time with work, so it's really no big deal, and honestly, your English is very good.

Everyone's heard of Hi De Hi, the infamous holiday camp show, luckily I was only interested in watching Thundercats at that point in time.
Guten Tag & Wilkommen Heidi!!!!

Nice to have some info on more new Finnish bands to go scout out. :D

You should have said, I had a couple of Nightwish CDs with me for the AR06 weekend I would have let you borrow. :P
Re Nightwish, think Metallica riffs and heavy guitars mixed with orchestra and a female opera singer. It really works well its heavy but not too heavy if you get my drift. Shame the band split with the singer and a replacement isnt due to be announced til next year. :(
I have to say, Finland has a knack for producing good classical/metal mix bands - currently listening to Apocalyptica atm. I have to say even if you dont like heavy metal, its something else listening to four Cellists play Metallica. :D

I almost born to rallyroad  Or what it is? I say pikataival :D

Yay, I did it!
I used to love northern rally drivers, Finnish or Swedes (sorry 8-[ ), their "going everywhere sideways" driving style used to make me jump out of the sofa everytime. :)
On the other hand I'm not such a big fan or northern circuit drivers, Kimi "IceMan" Raikonnen doesn't cut it for me, and Mika was too much of a gentleman to be an F1 driver. Wouldn't mind taking some driving lessons from him, though! :D
