Can anyone suggest a good place to go for my lads scooter insurance ?

My lads scoot is just about a year old and we need to organise the insurance. We bought the bike new and got a £99 insurance package thrown in, so we now have to insure it properly for the first time.

Best price we have so far is £355 TPF&T.

That's steep,as my lad used to pay about £220 TPO on a zip 50 for his second year after the free first year.We got a hefty chain and risked the TPO as the value of the scoot was only about £700 by then. That's about three years ago and I can't remember who it was with.

£355 TPFT

It's disgusting.

Can't recommend anyone but I do hope that you can find someone cheaper.

rampdale are nearly always cheap at insuring on CBT's and dodgy area's

When i went for quotes, I used bennets on line, and a quote online, phoned carl nash (because they dont do online quotes! :? )

This meant I had a few figures to hand. The online quotes where coming in at £300-£400, carl nash said £400 and tried to sell me security stuff for an additional £450!

I phoned A Quote and asked them about my online quote (had a ref no) and they managed to beat both quotes. I paid about £268 :D TPFT (Its my first bike)

So I would try A Quote (https://www.aquote.co.uk) online and then phone em and haggle with them! :D

Good Luck

Well i did third party only on my scooter from bennets, got about £160? I don't reccomend bennetts though, I don't like their customer support.

I take it he's 17? Have you tried carol nash? I was with them before i went to university (and gave up riding for a bit) and although they are a little more, they are very good at helping sort out stuff (i was involved in an incident..)

This has started me thinking about renewing my insurance, so I agot a few quotes online. OMG I wish I hadn't bothered  It's hardly any better than last year - I haven't had any claims etc either.
