Here is an update to that story - I like this bit....

He has also been banned from driving for three years and ordered to take an extended driving test.

an extended driving test?, the courts are as stupid as he is.

i particularily like how his solictor tried to justify that simply being blind didnt make him dangerous,

that solicitor must have balls of steel too actual try to use that as an argument

You hard hearted lot! It appears that he can negotiate roundabouts a little more proficiently than one or two around here! He would have got away with it if it wasn't for his thumb! :D

Same story explains later why extended driving test was ordered.

Magistrates were required by law to order Aziz to take an extended driving test, if he ever decides to apply for a driving licence.

I thought i'd heard some pretty crrrrrrrrazy thing in my time but this really does make me go
And as for the defence lawyer.... must have been on Legal Aid otherwise no lawyer would take that job and give that reason that he did. Its not like he ever expected a blind man to walk away from a charge like that is it?

there was a guy round here who after loosing both eyes in a shooting accident wanted to take the police to court for not renewing his firearms certificate wonder if they were related :?:
