more oiler than a scottoiler?
looks good - Thanks
is the bottle on rear foot hanger where u put the oil, - yes it looks small, how long dose it last, - at least a good few thousand miles (2 or 3 anyway)do you get oil flicking up all over the place, - a little not unbearably so (cleans off easily with white spirit/parrafin) goes on the wheel rather than the tyre. It's better if you start off your ride each day slowly through town, rather than straight to 60mph+ what oil do you use? - Have used engine oil, used engine oil -(a bit messy) currently using Gear oil that I got off eBay for a £1
what did you have for tea? - Currently tucking into Beetroot and Creme Fraiche soup thanks for asking

keep your wheel clean and dont spend so much on oil, put the money you save towards a new chain and sprocks more regular. :D

Some of us ride rather than clean!.
That is after 150* miles this weekend on 2 IAM rides - today's very wet, just ask Gmonsta or Bullwinkle. *Plus all my commuting miles, can't remember the last time I cleaned it.
I would rather have a dirty wheel which takes a couple of mins to clean, than a siezed chain. :D

Put the money I save on oil to new chain and sprocket sets - Now I know were I've been going wrong! Thanks so much

dam its due :( it was to split it up from the car so they dont both come at once :D
I thought you weren't supposed to use gear oil?
What oil should I use?
In a 'total loss' system such as a motorcycle chain almost any oil can be used. LoobMan recommends ordinary engine oil (any grade). Petroleum based EP80 gear oil is recommended for chains by Honda, Takasago etc and used by most race teams. Thin oils spread better, thick oils stick better. It's up to you.
Can't remember if I got the idea from anywhere else. Was trying to get a heavier oil to stop fling but Kwak would tell you it hasn't worked.
I was hoping I wasn't using - CAUTION
* Do not use any oil sold commercially as "drive chain
oil" . Such oil can damage the 0-rings (or seals) .

That picture disapoints me for two reasons...
1) You don't ride enough
2) The chain is the only bit there that really needs to be clean, and it isn't
