Hi east Anglian posse...
just wanted to say hi as I;ve just moved up to Norwich from Southampton - I used to ride with some of the people n the south and west surfers bit of the forum for bike meets.
May be able to join in on some rideouts around here (but weather getting a bit grim and rainy now :? ) Sadly my beloved SV is still living in a garage down south til I find somewhere for it to live (and me to live!) up here. going to go visit it this weekend :D
Anyway, hi and may see you guys sometime!

Hi there! I am new to biking and guess we will be neighbours! I have been riding for a year now and own a 2 year old sv650 which I love to bits. My mate told me about the forum and it's great. Loads of advise, loads or gossip and everything else a forum should be. I work odd hours so looking for a biking buddy to ride with so if any of you work odd hours to I'd love to hear from you! Speedy girls what's you ASL please. Excuse my direct approach but some forums have very odd people in them. To everyone:- Please email me your (Norwich) plans (see my profile). Thanks. :D :D

Oops, silly me, no need to email me because that is what a forum is for right? I will get the hang of this soon I promise you. Speedygirl: Why's your bike all the way down there in Southampton? I'm confused!

:P Hi all. Been 'lurking' on this forum for a while now but been out of the UK. Just noticed the local forum. Hope to see some of you on a ride out soon.
Welcome Bigvern! :D
The weather looks good tomorrow so will probably be going on a ride out from Hethersett way - nothing too fast as its with some 50+ year olds! You are more than welcome :)

Thanks for the welcome.
Would have been great to join you, fast or slow. Unfortunately shift work this week prevents me from having any fun. I'll keep 'lurking' and hopefully join you on a non work day.
See Skip, it is worth us having our own section - not only are people moving here but were drawing out the lurkers too!
As soon as it's nice and sunny and warm enough for the crotchety ol' cripples to get moving we'll have a good sized 'local' rideout to a beach or something.
So - that'll be a choice of either 2 days in June, 3 in July or 1 in August knowing our weather. :P
I guess you are right K - it just seems that not many people are up for coming out! Still, had an excellent ride out today and it wasnt cold at all, even in sunny Hunny! :D

Thanks for the welcome!! :D wasn;t a bad weekend for a rideout - shame bike still 250 miles away down south  Had an explore in the cage and looks like a few nice routes for biking, plus some beaches for meets. Hmmm - I think we may be waiting a LOOONG time for that warm dry day though!!
K- why did I move here? something similar to bigverns shift work that keeps you away from doing fun things at the weekend!
Will be up for rideout when weather reasonable (oh, and when I actually have the bike here... duh)

I'm in Norwich too - but have been 'lurkin' too. Been here for a year workin' for the Union.
Got a bronze SV-s fully faired with F1 indicators - one of which has just gone *sigh*.
Can be found eating the A47 to Lynn most weekends to get into woman trouble.
A ride out would be cool - but I'm outta here end of Nov travelling. Back April to et bike out and then off round Europe. Hammered to Haywards Heath and back this weekend - Sat am in the rain. Monday pm in the dark.
It might be flat - but its quick.http://upload4.postimage.org/1536213/PICT0003.jpg (http://upload4.postimage.org/1536213/photo_hosting.html)
