As discussed, let's agree the end of season run. None of this namby pamby October run to Brighton like they do darf sarf. The SV Ecosse end of year run traditionally takes place in November and is a wee sprint to St Andrews for an Ice Cream.
Thermals and winter gloves are optional.
Proposed date is Sunday, 12 November.

well as far as organising it goes ,it really doesnt take much ,you turn up at the meeting point and go!!westies meet at hein gericke ,great western rd at 9.00(ish) for a sharp 9.30 dep and head up to kinross to meet up with the east coasters .can i just say first ,i know nothing apart from that  i went last yr butthat goes for nothing,if somebody rounds up the easties i can do the same through here ,butv as above its not hard ,meet+go
only thing is -im not an sv rider anymore ,all we need is rab to turn up on his harley and itl b a sv/cbr/hd any bike that turns up rideout ,last yr we had cbr 400 and a pan euro so it cant b exclusive .btw i can get kinross easy but st andrews from there :-k some body else'll have to lead the way

If we're meeting in Edinburgh, Maybury services (the big Shell) is better... Just off the bypass and on the way, so it means no riding through the town, meeting up,riding back through all the traffic...

I should really read the Stickies.
OK Kinross is an erse kick away from me so I know all the good roads. From Kinross to St.Andrews is incredibly boring and straight all the way so here's a great route.
Kinross Services - Kinross - Balgeddie Toll - Glenfarg twisties - Newburgh - Abernethy - Cupar - St Andrews.
Some nice twisties to make it a bit interesting

Ice Cream Run (http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/gran****son/SVEcosseIceCreamRun.htm)
Don't know how it compares to Stuartyboys route cos I have not ridden some parts of his route but I do know the Cupar - StAndrews part can get quite heavy with traffic and is boring
What do you think Stuartyboy ?

Okay guys Sth Q Maccas & HG Edinburgh both fine for me, and preferring the later, but Maybury Services.. give me a clue please???!.. Sorry! All I could find in Multimap was Maybury Rd near Gyle.. is that it?? :?
Maybury is probably the easiest meeting point as it doesn't force people to come into town to go back out again.
Maybury Services.. give me a clue please?

Thought I would try last years route so my mate and me did it on Sat. It was very frustrating from start to finish. :( Loads of traffic all the way there.
The route I posted is pretty good. From Kinross to Balgeddie is good flowing twisties for about 5 miles. (Colinbal4 will know this part well as his brother stays in Auchmuir bridge). From Balgeddie to the Newburgh is very good one you get into glenfarg. The Glenfarg stretch is a local bikers favourite known as "The Glen" and there's a couple of peg downers, some really nice twisties. It's a fantastic stretch on the way back as it's uphill all the way.
Newburgh to the Cupar junction is usually very quiet traffic wise. Theres a fab uphill straight thenn you're into cupar. This is the Cupar motorcycles test route. Once we get to cupar we could join the last part of last years route otherwise straight to Guardbridge.
My mate will probably join us so either of us will be happy to lead the way.

Just be at Kinross services for about 10ish ready for a 10:30 to 11am start off. That's early enough for us lot (especially on a bloody cold Sunday in November).
I want some some photos of all the gang plus bikes(depends on the weather & who'll turn up more like it.....) so I can make up a last season video trip before the majority of us hibernate our bikes for winter time.
Lets go paintballing in the great outdoors..... never done it before. Just wrap up more when you know it'll be baltic..
