Does anyone know how to work out how much duty (and any other charges there may be) will be due on an item costing $339 (approx £180) ordered from the US ?

Thanks in advance :D

Quick answer 20% - Less than £40
Someone, like Lyn may correct me
I've heard Parcelforce charge a release fee as well - you could look into that if relevant

Duty on £180 will be £6.30 as anything under £290 is [or should] be charged at 3.5%.

Since that is under the £7 limit, duty will be waived. VAT will be chargeable depending on whether the goods would be subject to VAT in this country. If so, then it will be charged at 17.5% so would be £31.50 plus whatever the courier/post handling/admin charge is.
