Anyone who leaves their beloved SV on the street like me may know the annoyance of coming home to find a a pool of dog **** in the bottom of your front wheel. Not being a dog fan anyway I'm not amused. Is there such a thing as spray on dog repellent?

Yep, you need to pop into the local vets/petshop and get some spray.
Or catch the dog in the act and follow it home and **** through the owners letter box

Citronella (sp?)... its a really horrible spray to use in obediance training they also use it to disguise the smell of a bitch in heat to discourage dogs interest.
you can get it from most good pet shops, or a vets.

Bottle of "Get Off!" purchased from B&Q for £4. Nearly gave me an Asthma attack so it should do the trick. Now would it be too cruel to spray it all over my neighbour's front door step so the dog won't leave the house?!

Now my dog goes mad whenever I ride up the drive.
He flies into the garage, round and under the bike a few times and invariably comes into the house with a good coating of Scotoil down his back and I know my chain has had a partial clean
