Afternoon all. Just wondering if there's gonna be any friendly faces at the LB meet tonight, or if I have to make friends in my usual inimitable fashion...

Bear in mind that last time I tried this I started slagging off sound men within hearing of Supervox and, I believe, 3 other sound guys, so all help gratefully recieved...

I believe all the fashionable people are off the the SELKENT meet.....

Fancy a run down to Sevenoaks instead?

Bit too far to go with the risk of a downpour...

I'm in Brick Lane, heading back to Harrow tonight so Waterloo isn't too far out of my way...

Come on PB

Head to Kent - you know it makes sense.

My plans are to head to Oval and pick up Vixis (Mrs Soulkiss) then down the A23 to Purley, A22 to Whyteleafe, meet up with Jambo in Whyteleafe then off to Sevenoaks via the A25

You know it would be better than Poserbana

well I'm with Pigbunk about not wanting to go all the way to Sevenoaks for a soaking - so I'll be taking in the rain at Poserbana instead

Girls, yer all girls - erm wait Rizla you ARE a girl :P

Nothing wrong with girls :)

I would agree, but you see the wife really enjoyed being on the back of the bike from Covent Garden to home (Oval so no distance really) for the 1st time (well my 1st time with a pillion - she has done New Zealand top to bottom a number of times as a pillion) - she hadn't realised she missed it so much.

So decided that a longer run was in order and as SELKENT was the next .org one.

Hoping that she will get her own license and hence own bike in the near future - was fine having her onboard, but the bike just didn't feel as nice.

Good thing tho was her statement "if you are going to have a pillion you should have a thou" :)

Knew I married her for a reason :)

Correct, you know it makes sense. The thou hardly notices a pillion.

Selkent failure due to the ZX6 reaching the magic "100 miles without anything going wrong" limit and breaking down before Purley, deciding not run briefly as a triple, then a parallel twin, then not at all. After much head scratching and ripping the top off the bike at the side of the road (hmmm been there before) got bike running on three (probably) cylinders and made it to Jambos house whereupon the bike decided it was going to run fine, and did a further 40 miles afterwards, after a bit of food. Even the suspect speedo behaved itself.

Cheers to Jambo and Mr & Mrs Soulkiss for providing tools and moral support.

We're now taking bets on what will go wrong next.....only 60 or so miles to go.....
