I tried it and it didn't work for me. The pinlock insert didn't fit to the visor properly, I got it checked by various different people too and the agreement was either there is a problem with my visor or pinlock haven't quite got it right for Arai helmets yet. Incidently, I had the same problem wih the pinlock dark insert too.

I've got a Foggy fitted to my lid, really stops fogging and keeps your nose warm too.

i use the fogcity pinlock incert for arai, same thing i think, they are great, got a clear one for night and smoked one for day, never experenced visor fogging up, great does exactly what it said on the tin! well worth it

My Shoei Synchrotech II has a pinlock anti-fog as standard. Best one I've used.

Once had a Nolan with a pinlock as well but didn't have the Silicon(?) beading the Shoe has one has. It didn't work too well after a while(maybe a year or even less) as it was easier for water to get between the visor and the insert.

Cheers
Ben

I've got a Pinlock on my Shoei.

I've used a Focity in the past, The Pinlock IMHO is superior to the fogcity as

1. You can remove the pinlock to clean it, Once you've stuck the fogcity on you cant remove it again without a lot of hassle. I like the way I can pop the pinlock off to clean it also I like it that you can get different tint pinlock inserts as well.

2. The Pinlock doesnt give as much "ghosting" or reflection at night. Its also better in the rain as well for that reason.

IMHO

Best way to fix that its to buy a Foggy Neoprene Respro mask. It velcros into your lid and stops you breathing on your visor and glasses. I wear glasses and I've never had a problem with fogging / mistinng my glasses since I started using a foggy.

Getting a Foggy thing that slips over your nose might help this too.

Contact lenses also work well

not true i an remove mine, not all of them glue in, i think it is onlt the hyperoptic incert that glues in, i dont know why this is, maby because they are designed to use all year round night and day, but i have the smoked fogcity pinlock incert and well i had it out yesterday to clean! just check that the one you get in pinlock only and its fine!

also out of intrest does any1 use 2 visors, one tinted one clear, I.e carry one in a visor bag, i went and spoke with adam down and crescent verwood the other day and he suggested to get a tinted arai visor and put in a smoked fogcity incert which will make it as about as dark as it gets and is still road legal, then have a visor bad with a clear vlisr that i can swap ova when i get court out in the dark, does any1 else do this, is it a hastle to carry and change etc?

my bad, I didnt know that..

Yep I use two visors, I have a Iridium tint and a clear, I carry the clear around in a pounch, I've got two pinlocks, a clear one and a yellow one. I use the yellow one on overcast days.

i saw it in Hein Gericke at the weekend, i think its these

I asked the girl behind the counter what they were like and she said she had one and found it ideal and even went slightly yellow at night to reduce glare. Definitely think ill get one for next years riding.

It's just like those reactor glasses, goes dark in the sun and goes clear at night.... NICE!

Given the choice i would plump for a foggy hyper-optiks.

Got a pinlock on my arai lid as standard, and it is mearly ok. Still far better than no anti-fog but still a little misting in places. Having to open my visor at low speed to help demist. Never had to do that with the fogcity.

Coming into winter you start to notice and be affected by the lower sun( so low sometimes you don't see it for weeks   ) and it is not as good as a foggy hyper thing I had on a previous lid. The foggy got a dark blue tint within seconds when in sunlight and made a big difference.

I think you can get a pinlock version too.

once again not true, its not all the fog city incerts that glue in, both of mine, smoked and clear are completly removeable
