For those wishing to go to the dark side of IL4's....

Black / Silver GSX-R600. R-plate (1998), 13800 miles, FSH.

Mechanically it is in excellent condition. There are a couple of cosmetic scratches where is has been gently rested on its side! Taxed and MOT'ed (about Sept / Aug, need to check exact dates).

Any questions, PM me. Looking for about £2k.

Was looking to buy an SV instead (pointy - I realise I might have alienated half the site!), hence finding SV650.org, but for now, just selling.

Edit : Based around West London if you want to have a look.

Welcome to the mad house!

I'm sure a mod will come along shortly to move your post to the "For Sale" section. Don't worry, it takes a while to find your way around.

Good choice of next bike, even though I do admit to starting to think about something with a bit more bite.

Just don't tell the Mrs that I'm wanting more bite heading into winter... she'll think I'm barmey!

Welcome to the site!
Typical, a newbie gets it right and someone tries to tell him off  (SV's only in For Sale :D )

Is £2K a realistic price? I would like to change bikes the opposite way from you but not keen getting a 7 years older bike for similar money.

Thanks for the welcome. It's a shame I don't have an SV (yet) - feel a bit of a fraud.

I thought the For Sale section was for SV's only....

I thought the For Sale section was for SV's only....
Correct.
It's a bit worrying when a newbie has to correct somebody who's been here a while.

For £2k that would probably be worth a punt.

Items only go into the For Sale section if SV related so selling anything else it goes in idle banter, so its all good :D

2k is a realistic price for a gsxr 600 srad. As long as it hasnt been completey ragged around a track it should be pretty good. Even that 7 year old bike has alot of go in it, I should know I got one

Plus its not the standard blue and white so usually commands a slighty higher price.

Anyway welcome to the site :D

My bad, I just take "For Sale" as meaning anything for sale.

Can you tell I don't sell much?

Also, wasn't telling the guy off :P

EDIT: can I get away under the excuse that he's selling it to possibly get an SV, therefore it's an SV related sale? :D No? OK, coat please....

I think £2k is a fair (ish) price:

Sorry - don't know how to do clicky thing.
Edit - clicky thing worked.

It has not been ragged on a racetrack, though I think it has done a couple of days on a racetrack by the first owner (who is a friend and a member of the SV site!).

I am the 4th owner, and owners 2 and 3 are also friends of mine, so I (sort of) know the history of the bike.
