Im in need of new boots and am after some Sidi Vertigo's
Cheapest Ive found them is here (http://www.harpersraceshop.co.uk/cat26_1.htm) for £131 after tax and postage.
Problem is I dont know what size I need and the only shop near-by that has them in stock is run by an evil bitch that wont let me try them on, because I am not buying them from her. ( I should have lied and pretended I was thinking of buying them from her, but what can I say....Im too honest  )
So I was wondering how Sidi's size up, do you normally have a bigger size or a smaller size??
I am normally an 11 or 12

Thanks for all your help on this :P

I actually think this is fair play - She spends money on business rates, shop rental, advertising, running overheads just to have someone like you, take advantage of this by trying them on and then buying them cheaper on the internet.

The place you have found them for on the web however have a shop in east london and one in Southend. They are very friendly and aren't quite as uncompromising on price as they might seem from their site. I would pop in there and have a look

EDIT: Just seen you live in Scotland - nevermind!

you could always call them & ask if they'll exchange them - you paying the postage - if they don't fit

I'm a size 12 and my Vertigos are Eur 48, US 13 and Jap 29.5. Apparently.

Comprehensive, eh?

There is honestly no where else to try in the yellow pages
I am normally a size 11 or 12 shoe so Ive just ordered the size 47's which is the same as a 12. They will let me exchange them if there the wrong size.
Hopefully they'll be ok but even if they have a little extra room in them, it will mean extra socks for the winter, and well vented feet in the summer :P

I've got a pair of euro size 48 (says 12.5 UK equivalent) Sidi Black Rain evos, and I'm usually size 12 for shoes. Fit is perfect.

I've not long bought Sidi Black rain boots, usually get a size 9 or 10 depending on make.. had to get 10.5's an they were quite tight to start, fine after a few hours use, no room for thick socks though.
