Well very suddenly I am planning a trip back to Mold to visit my family, Ill be leaving Oct 31st (superstitious much?)
Big question. Where can I rent a bike in North Wales and what are the requirements? I am licensed and insured in Canada, will that be enough?

...non bike related chat...
DOH!
My bad, wrong place to put this. Perhaps a mod can send this thread in the right direction.

Actually... it would be better off in the South West Surfers section, more people with local knowledge...
Probably the nearest guys I know of are Mototrek (http://www.mototrek.co.uk).
They do guided/un-guided tours on bikes. Give them a call, they'll probably do longer hires as well (for a deposit) and they'd be the best people to tell you what you need.
Also, from them, pretty much straight up the A483 to Mold, or alternatively up the A470 (good road) across the A5 then up the A494 (another good road).
P.S. I wouldn't of seen this if you hadn't posted in IB... since I don't frequent South & West Surfers ;)

Does South & West cover NORTH Wales? must start frequenting this section.....
Try the local bike dealers, such as A&D in Denbigh (http://www.admotorcycles.co.uk) or Woods in Abergele (http://www.woodsmotorcycles.co.uk) Perhaps they will be willing to rent you one of thier used bikes they have for sale?
Where will you be flying to? more likely to pick something up in a city, than here in n. Wales?

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I need a bigger suitcase for my gear.
If you see someone with a big, red, maple leaf on their helmet, wave :)

You'll have a fantastic time riding around North Wales so I hope you find a bike to hire. The roads Baph mentioned are great and there's loads more to explore but the best thing by far about the area is there are no speed cameras (fixed or mobile), full race systems are legal as are small number plates and Chief Constable Brunstrom will make you feel most welcome
In fact, the only danger you face is flying pigs
