LARPing......

Ok, so there a couple of us mad LARPers on the board.

A few people on the board have asked about it, and so I had a thought.

So anyone interested in getting on bikes, riding to somewhere, camping for the weekend, wearing funny clothing, drinking, hitting people with rubber swords, having a laugh then riding home again?

Which when you think about it sounds like a ride-out to me - well ok there are added rubber-swords and probably less riding.

One thing that occurs is that one likely event (tho not set in stone) is the last May Bank Holiday, and is in Derbyshire.

This would put us in Peak District Country.

So, if we packed up earlyish on the Sunday, we could go enjoy those roads on the way home...

Specialist equipment could easily be found - I know I have a few spare rubber swords and kit that could be loaned.

So anyone else up for it?

If you're going by bike, you should make it some futuristic post-apocalyptic setting like Mad Max or the Fallout games. :)

LARPing has never appealed to me. There's a camp where they do it not far from me and one of my gf's mates is forever trying to convince us to go.

Lol well I'm an avid airsofter and I couldn't say it's a world apart, getting dressed up and rolling round in the mud shooting your friends and trying to sneak up on them with rubber knives :)

Should be a laugh, seen the videos from a few larps and yes...they are all totally insane....just my kind of crowd ;)

Haha LARPing is sooooo geeky, although I love RGPs and Baldur's gate and dragons etc etc so I am not a million miles away from loving it :oops:
