pre 2003 vs new

Had an accident yesterday :cry: and so I need new front wheel and forks (or just the upper part of forks). The bike is 2003 model.

That’s why I’m looking for info on two things.
Is the front wheel in the 2003 – 2006 bikes different from this in 1999-2002 bikes? I also heard that bandit 600 uses the same front wheel. Is that true?

The second question concern suspension. Is the 1999-2002 front suspension different from that on newer bikes?
