Not personally, but why not.
Are people who eat raw carrot or cabbage strange - Fried Chicken stuff even mix those with mayo and call it coleslaw

Like tomatoes, they are part of the Deadly Nightshade family, and unlike tomatoes you have to cook them to eat them.......
Ladies in Elizabethan times used to eat them raw to give themselves a pallid complexion....
tomatoes were considered poisionous for a couple of hundred years, it was in fact the lead plates they were eaten from that were poisionous, the acid in the tomatoes just released the lead which then killed you.
"Revenge of the Killer Plates" wouldn't have been such a good film though :lol:

Yes I know they're a bit poisonous. However, the poison (solanine) is mainly in the layer directly under the skin. Peel them thickly and avoid the green/purple bits they're fine. *grins maniacally*

When I was a lad, my Mum always told me that eating raw spuds would give you worms :?
I'm not sure where that came from, but you have to be of a particular nature to "want" to eat them in that condition. You do wash them first don't you ? (Otherwise you'd be really freaky :lol: )

Well... that's the problem, raw fish is called sushi. Raw potatoes are just that, raw potatoes. If it's got a fancy name it's not weird anymore. So there, find a fancy name for raw potatoes and you won't be weird anymore. Like potshi.

Never tried raw potatoes but i do really like Sushi. Sorry BabyJ, but i love the stuff! :D
