View Full Version : Will braided lines make a difference to my bike?

Its only coming up 3 years old now and its only done just over 7k. Will my rubber lines be deteriorating already or am i just better to get new fluid (i didnt get it done last year :oops: )

Erm, according to the Haynes manual I have it says replace the brake hoses every 4 years, so you'll probably have another year left. Hopefully someone with a bit more mechanically knowledged will be along to put their view across.

I'm gonna replace mine at 2 years with the brake fluid change.

Brake fluid change every year AFAIC.
Braided hoses do look good but with the SV's sliding calipers any gains are negligible.

Weell, Just to upset the apple cart like, I've found that my brakes are much better with braided lines...

agreed my bike actually started to stop when i changed the lines...

i miss that bike..
