can a frontal impact like the one ive had damage the sv frame? its alloy so i didnt think it would bend prob more likely crack? i dunno? could the frame be damaged?
if the insurance dont pay out i might have to put it back on the road.
possibly all depends on how forces were transferred through the frame. Its possible that if the forks gave way easly (which they do easily on the SV) it may have not damaged the headstock. Many bikes with USD forks with a frontal impact, even of moderate speed, usaly damage the frame as the USD forks are so stiff that they dont bend and transfer that force to the headstock and it gets damaged.
If your frame has any lugs broken or its scratched its possible that they will write the bike off.
