Any Rugby fans on here? Some good Internationals over the next few weeks. Anyone lucky enough to get tickets to ENG vs NZ on Sunday? Unfortunately I wasn't - but being a Kiwi I shall be cheering the ABs on down at the local!

The ABs have pulled in a solid team for their build up for next years World Cup - but the interest will be to see what England will perform like and whether they have some potential stars for next year. They need to win this one otherwise it will be 6 in a row. Can they pull it together???

Only until they face the BOK front row...then it'll all fall apart

GB are having a tough time here too. A bit embarrassing at the moment for the Kiwis though  : http://www.rleague.com/db/article.php?id=26926

I would quite happily kill, main, permanently disfigure, assault, attack, gnaw on, dismember, decapitate, pull teeth from, gouge out eyes, bite off ears, throttle, hang, shoot, kneecap, pull of fingernails with rusty pliers or even be nice to anyone for tickets to see the All Blacks play. :D

8) And one who has supported the ABs just to annoy her Dad for nigh on 30 years...

... and never once actually been to an international, let alone to see them play. :(

Last international I watched in the flesh was Australia vs Canada... Really hard game that was. The aussies fielded a "weakened" team and nearly saw their arses...

Only international game I watched in the flesh was Wales under 16's vs England under 16 and that was over 13 years ago.

Watch the 6 nations every year and Wales matches whenever they're on TV.

I couldn't have put it better myself.

My rugby claim to fame is when I was a very youngfla, the world cup winning Australian team, with Lynagh Mark Ella, Nick Farr-Jones and Campese... trained on the pitch at the end of my road.
Me and the brother used to be down there, every day, looking at them.
They would give us a cheeky wink once in a while when they were doing set pieces.

One thing I never forgot was Campese, who seemed to be mates with Lynagh, with a big bag of balls, gently firing them into Lynagh, who was just in front of and between the posts on one end of the pitch.
Lynagh would catch the ball, and gently stroke it with his foot.
There was a lad on the far end of the pitch, standing below the other posts, and every ball just dropped over the post, into his hands.
Every ball. Ball after ball after ball.

Campese, Lynagh, thock far end of the pitch, over the bar, into your mans arms.

Completely mesmerizing. The other amazing thing is... Campese was *not* a small guy. He just looked small compared to the rest of them. I passed a ball to Campo once too.
Oh man.
Those were the days.

What do you want to do today?
Emmm, head down to the field and watch the Aussies?
Alright. Lets go.

Those men were Gods. Honestly... I cant ever say I have been closer to heaven in my life since.

NZ? The Welsh are playing the Aussies

Reminds me of the day I got married. Was when Wales played Australia in the 1991 World Cup in Cardiff. Got married at the church right in the city centre  Loads of fans came in, stood in the back and joined in the hymns...... Cwm Rhondda and Jerusalem. The former was sung much more loudly than than the latter. Can't think why :?

More memorable than this was the lady who, whilst decorating the church for Harvest Festival the following day, dropped a bag of sprouts at the front of the church just as the bride was walking down the aisle.......my missus speared a stray one with her stilettos

Off to see Scotland v Australia at Murrayfield in a few weeks. Always a good atmosphere, even if we will get spanked. http://nugentm.users.btopenworld.com/Emoticons/spank.gif

I have played plenty of rugby of both codes but am not a great lover of watching England play. It will be a long time before they ever repeat their World Cup success, if ever. Even our League boys cannot produce on the international scene which is a terrble shame.

I will gladly watch Ireland RU anytime, along with New Zealand and France. In league both the Aussies and Kiwis are awesome to watch.

What a match!

I thought Wales were going to lose badly after 20 minutes but they came back well, if it wasn't for Latham's performance we would have won.
