1 - Open the bottle to allow it to breathe.
2 - If it does not look like it's breathing, give it mouth-to-mouth.

heathens. how can u mention larger or whiskey in a post about re wine. you can't beat a bottle of Merlot after a hard days graft.
My secret to enjoying a bottle of wine is.... Don't drink it it's DISGUSTING! Drink a bottle or 2 of Smirnoff Ice instead!!
Sorry, can't see the appeal of wine except getting very drunk very quickly!

I had a very good bottle of Merlot from Mrs Bluepete yesterday for my burfday. Followed the instructions on this thread and then, as I seemed to have the nack for it, did it all over again with a claret.
Now, why did no-one tell me about the morning after headache? I know the instructions didn't say I should get one, but a warning might have been nice!

See now thats why I dont go into the medway towns...not enough cultured ponces like myself
The secret is to get a decent red wine. Shame I've never found one in the UK that didn't need the a mortgage for...
Just ordered a case of 6 bottles from direct supplier. Had some last year, the best I've ever drunk and only costs about 6 or 7 quid a bottle.
That's the best way to enjoy it.

Buy anything from Bordeaux 2005 vintage, it is the best for decades. Lay down for a few years and then enjoy.......... :D
