Anyone recommend any car insurance companies with reasonable breakdown cover included? Mines about to renew and Zurich cover is just basic roadside with Greenflag. Anyone getting anything better for free or very little on top of a reasonable deal?

I'm insured with ecar, they were cheapest for my Fiesta and the breakdown cover seemed reasonable and free.

Click on the URL for more info on what they provide breakdown wise.

We will arrange and pay either:
* to transport your vehicle, or you and your passengers, or both to a destination(s); or
* for you to hire a vehicle to continue your journey; or
* to transport you and your passengers to a hotel and reimburse the costs of your hotel accommodation.

That looks good.

I always get the e**** one mixed up with esure.

ive had it with the AA! after my crash they refused to get my bike home unless i paid an extra £65
they said it didnt count as it wasnt a break down.

and the £65 was to a garage NOT home

they phoned me the other day and asked me if they could get me a courtesy bike  i said no and don't bother sending me a renewal notice out next year.

Good Move.
Trouble is they dont give a flying F about us, We are just numbers. However if you go through a broker and you tell them to get stuffed you will get more of a response and sometimes, some extra help.

Tossers, ask them to start the bike and ride it? No, must be broken down then. :toss:

Its stuff like that which is pointless, what difference does it make since you are generally limited on the amount of call outs you can make anyway?

Fair enough. Thats what accident recovery on insurance is for.
