A bit of culture for your edification!

Did you know the world's tallest building is in Canada?

You may have seen this structure before, but it can still get your attention.

It's called the Canadian National Tower in Toronto and is used for telecommunications.

It's height is 553.3 meters or 1,815 feet so you know it's been photographed a lot.

I'm a big fan of architecture and have gone back and looked at this photo several times. It's truly amazing. See for yourself....

Wow!

Massive somehow just dosnt describe it. Maybe it should be coupled with huge, gigantic, an engineering genius! Defies the laws of gravity!

I went up that 5 years ago - it is very impressive, especially when me and my wife were both on top.

The views were breathtaking. it was supposed to be closed on the day that we went, but it was opened up specially for our party as we had booked in advance - we even had dinner on top of it.

Did you know that the top spins round very slowly so you can get all round views?

Yes apparently it spins once every hour, roughly the time it'll take to eat your grub and see the entire surroundings!

I wanted to go up that but the wife at the time thought i was being out of order, apparently she frowned upon me wanting to do something as bold as that in public, i finally talked her into us both going for it.
The worst part was she suffered a panic attack as she got to the front of monument and fell to her hands n knees  blocking the way for me, so i had to revert to the back door :D

Nicely proportioned and clearly well designed and built.I think a full 360 is done in less than an hour, but if the experience is enjoyed a repeat performance is usually on offer.I understand the cladding is fully removable.
