Sorry for the derail. Any goodies and gadgets I can beg/borrow/steal from Mr Bond will be fairly distributed amongst the hordes at Frith Street this friday.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled posting...

Good news hun, now go make your thread into a poll. Its the done thing for a soho friday you see. And we give prizes for the most random, obscure or surreal question and answer options btw :D

I suggest you PM Rictus & ask his opinion on riding timescales after surgery - I have a feeling I know what his reply will be !!

Jonboy and supervox - I want to get back on the bike now  Only problem is that the surgery was carried out on my bum so its painful to put any weight on it. Even sitting down on a comfy sofa is very painful, let alone sitting on the relatively uncomfortable lowered SV seat! I would need to take a lot of painkillers and even then i wouldnt want the stitches to open up :?

Obviously the hole thing is a bit of a bummer, and I'm sure no one really wants piles of information, even though they've arsed questions. Some might think it a good crack to make fun of this, but it's really wiping the bottom of the barrel. Best turn the other cheek. If you can, naturally  .

Mate i genuinely sypathise as i had an op on "the base of my spine" years ago, or "just above my coxix (sp)". I never say i had an op on my bum cos these boys know too many bum jokes i think

This is actually where i had the surgery and can prove it if needs be :D
So its not so much of a problem to sit/lean forward but it is a problem to sit upright/back.

However, i thought it would be easier to say i had the op on my bum as it generally explains the not being able to sit comfortably.

Yes, it is worrying that people seem to have so much to say on this area. Putting my Psychology hat on i could suggest a few possible explanations for this

Neither was I, but then again I can't ride, can't even stand very well,so the only thing I could manage would have been drinking coffee ( but then I wouldn't want to tackle those stairs in Neros as a result of drinking all that coffe  ).

Cheers Mark.
