Depends how you look at it... I don't see that declaring yourself Jedi is any worse than any "real" religion, it's just that George Lucas never claimed his story was true :) Scientology's based on a science fiction novel...

And at least it has the parallel of having an old and new testament - jsut depends whether you follow the strictures of the original three movies or the choose to believe in the medi*bollox*chlorians *cough*crap*cough* that followed. :P

I watched a series of intriguing documentaries a while back, chronicling the adventures of a people referred to as "Clangers", and their interaction with a demi-God known as "The Soup Dragon".
I personally would be quite keen on worshiping this Soup Dragon. If Soup Dragon was to have a fight with Jesus, I know where I would be putting my money.
"Oh oh what's that JC? Walking on water eh? We'll see about that when you have no head or legs RAAARR"
Now, I know what some smart **** is going to say, but I mean, look closely:

yes, I'm one of those 390,000 from the 2001 census. As I remember, it was a protest at being asked to declare a religion on the form.

Yep, but there was also a silly rumor that went about that if enough people voted it would become a religion... But its just a consensus...

There was also a problem because they didn't include a checkbox for the Welsh.
Didn't affect me, of course
