View Full Version : Caerphilly
How many people here on the forum live in this little welsh town that can't decide if it wants to be in the valleys or on the hill :?:
Just asking because I have some friends who live up on the hill near the GE aero plant... :)
 thought this was going to be a thread about some sort of weird bodily waste product - personally I never suffer from this complaint as I have good hygiene practices!!
Ok - I'll get my galleon....

So you have friends in Nantgarw then ?
I wouldnt class Caerphilly as part of the Valleys.. its only over a hill from Cardiff.... the Valleys officialy start from Pontypridd and up....

Some residents of Cardiff, just a few miles to the south, refer to it as Caerphilthy. But not me, of course
I agree with Valleyboy.....it's not really in the valleys at all.
Best thing about Caerphilly, IMHO, is the café at the top of the mountain :D

Look I know the man in the moon must live in green cheese, but nobody else lives in cheese.
Apart from Suzi

RIVERS? what are they?
we have a few streams(brooks) but thats it (no good for kayaking) pretty good for trial bikes
but ABERTRIDWR does mean
"the meeting of the three rivers"
