Are these not the type that could be opened with a ballpoint pen? Is that why they're giving them away??

nope, there the type made from some kinda alloy, with a lock that seizes.

they make quite nice theif beaters though :)

Cast disc locks are garbage. I had one on my old & trusty AX-1 honda trailie, one day I forgot about it and got on my way without removing it. Guess what: The lock split in two, without even damaging the disc or brake caliper.
SV underseat storage means that now I'm using one of the beefy forged ABUS disc locks.

someone posted a link to one of these a few months back - free but £5 p&p. I sold it for £9 & £3.45 p&p on Ebay.

Disklocks hurt...FACT!

on yer bike

:stupid:
especially when u forgot that u left it on, pull away and drop the bike on top of yourself, this wasn't the bit that hurt, neither was the scratch on the bike, but the fact that all my work m8s were next to me hurt the most
