I love cricket. A fabulous excuse for sitting around/drinking* for seven hours, hopefully in the sunshine. There's no expectations, no disappointment if England lose (coz that's the norm), just great excitement if we happen to win once in a while.

After watching the first day of the england shriLanka game at Lords earlier in the year nearly ended up with sunstroke, had just cropped my hair and my forehead was burnt to bits.
but lots of Fosters (it was the only beer on offer) and a good company much better than football

So, the last 5-0 whitewash was in 1921! Great way for Warne, McGrath and Langer to end their professional careers.

Jaysus. Did you see that 20 20 limited overs match? Annihilation starts to cover it.
I think England will be very happy to get out of Australia.
And then they hockeyed them out of it *yet again* in the one day there. Pietersen is out with broken rib(s?) after McGrath's attentions.
Yeah. Not looking good.
Although you do have an Irish Batsman on the team now... Ed Joyce. Just play him and you will be all set

Edit: Monty Panesar is excellent. Absolutely great watching him. I would go for pints with Panesar. I would also go for pints with Warney and Pietersen, but that would be on a different night. And I would be planning on taking off the next week off work.

Poofs' game.

Oh yeah. The possessive goes on the poof. As in "it's a poof's game". Since poofs own that game.
You have to get the punctuation right on those trolls Ulster. 8)

A a Scot living in England, I've never quite got the hang of the cricket thing, but enjoy watching it. However I must admit Engalnd have been outplayed, out classed basically out everythinged by the Aussies, but do they need to rub the England teams noses in it so much, ?????, some of the comments by the Aussie cricket writers in their newspapers are quite insulting.

Check out the joke posted on the last page of the joke section in the IDLE BANTER, maybe I get it and find it funny cos I'm not English - it's the joke about the custody battle of a child in a town in Australia.
