old style R&G's

i now figured out that there fitted on a long bar that goes right through the frame and engine so i got 2 sockets (one 19mm each side) and try'd to tighted them up but it seems like the previous owner has threaded the bar and they wont tighten up :? so do i now source an original bolt or get in touch with R&G for a new bar? whats there customer service like? or where would i start to look for a new OE engine bar?
help needed on this one guys as i dont want to be riding around with a loose engine mount :?

If it was the same as SV650 ( unlikely) you could look in my direction for OE

theres one on ebay at mo for a 650 dont know it it will fit tho? anyone know?
