Placed an order for a new gear lever after a ghost pushed my bike over.

Found one on e-bay (Item number: 280050940789), paid etc.

Then got a message asking me to confirm that I didn't have a 2006 SV650S,

Then this:

The information I listed was supplied by the manufacturer and as it's a new line I had to take their word the list was correct. I have been informed the lever does not fit the 2006 model but it is possible it doesn't fit any of the S models. It might be it only fits the K models. I will be checking this out and will then be able to amend the listing for future inserts. Apparently on the SV650S (at least on the 2006 model) the gear lever does not pivot around the footrest and that may apply to all the S models.

Now this sounds like a load of crapola to me. Whilst I think the guy hasn't been intentionally misleading (has refunded me after all)-just too lazy to alter his posting, the above doesn't make sense to me-but then I hadn't really compared a naked/bikini gear pedal.

What does anyone else think......

looks like some one don't have a clue what he is selling

or what bikes he is selling them for

you could try and really confuse him by saying you have an sv650s k6

All the K is in the name is to denote the year.. i.e. K3 = 2003 which does have different gear lever to the newer versions.... K6 = 2006 etc... so if you have a 2006 pointy-faired it would be an SV650S K6

I can't see what the issue is myself :? .

He has realised that he has a problem, being in contact and refunded all monies. I'm sure in due course he'll change it. Suzuki does indeed seem to have a habit of changing little bits and pieces on different years of same bike.

Cheers

K3's pivoted around the footrest, K4+ pivots in front of the footrest
