Hope I've got the title right?
I'm looking to store all my photos online.
Can someone please recommend me the best free storage, that will be reliable and easy to use. Not so worried about security from people seeing them, just security that I won't lose them.
Thanks

I use GMail Space which I have as a Firefox extension. I think you can also get it as an Internet Explorer user.

It's no good for sharing files, but as a 2Gb back up for important files, it's pretty useful.

I use photobucket and have been for a year or so, never had a problem with it. I used to use uploadit.org but it stopped working a few times.

How about the free webspace you probably got with your ISP account?

And keep local copies backed up on CD/DVD

I have an imageshack account which suits me its just a pain in the bottom that you have to access your account via a link and can't loggin on the web page.

Thanks for your suggestions. I have had a photobucket account for a while now and have had no problems until I logged in recently to only find one photo left.
I seem to remember deleting a few to increase space, but not being so drastic. Has any other user lost photos like this, and what is the storage capacity?

Also I like the idea of GMail Space, as that is my email and I have spare email addresses and can create tons more. Can you tell me how to use it please, I've got IE6 on Windows 2000 Pro i.e. not firefox.

buy a dvd writer and back them up with a verification afterwards.

any online system could go tits up at anytime, then you have lost the lot.

i speak from experience after losing some pictures i thought were safe. now i use dvd's and external hard drives, with a copy on each device.

Listen to the man - he knows that of which he speaks.

Flickr is, not to put too fine a point on it, frankly brilliant.

I used to use photobucket, and Flickr makes it look rubbish.

Resurrection time. Did a search on photo hosting and this thread came up. So what do you use now and what do you think.
