what is the difference between a full exhaust system & just a race can
in noise & power?

& what about fitting twin cans?

about £200, lol, i've heard there isn't much difference for the sv650 in terms of power, and the noise is pretty much the same, its the weight loss that's the main gain, but again its not much,

twin cans, well laser twins loose you 1bhp, but if you're going for twins, its look above power. renegade twins sound ace though.

With twin cans you will be adding more weight to the bike!

Given my current size, that is the least of the weight worries!

I got a full system recently, doesnt feel any different but then again I hadn't ridden the bike for a good 2 months. Have yet to sort the carb side of things but doubt it'll show up much. I just wanted the noise (which is plentiful...almost too much.

Wee bit of power... Generally a nicer curve too, with a good system. Not £700 worth of power IMO, and it's a hassle to get. If you fit a good race system without rejetting/remapping, you'll almost certainly not get good results though, so it's more expense/hassle to do.

Tuning an SV by breathing's pretty pricey for the reward. I would say to do the cheapo cam mods before a full system, pers'nally. Then again, you can get a used system for peanuts.
