Hi guys,

When I go to start my bike nothing at all happens (its like the kill switch is on but its not!) until I twist the throttle a bit. As soon a I twist the throttle even a tiny bit she fires into life all OK.

Any ideas?
Andy

Has your idle running ajustment been messed with???

By "Nothing" I'm assuming you mean it turns over fine but only catches when you open the throttle a little?
In which case check the idle speed, or don't worry abut it, my Kwak has always required a little throttle to start it but there's no point setting it up so it idles at 3,000 rpm just so it starts without the throttle in the morning

I read that to mean it's totally dead until you crack the throttle? If so I reckon it is the kill switch, and moving the throttle is somehow operating the switch.

I mean without some throttle its totally dead, nothing at all turns. I'm thinking it could be the kill switch or the starter switch faulty?

The TPS doesn't share any wires with the kill switch that I can see, so I'd be tempted to take off the clip-on, and take a look.

I reckon that there's a dodgy connection on the back of the kill switch. When the throttle is opened, the cable will obviously "wiggle" a little, and perhaps this is pushing the kill switch wiring back into place & making a connection.

Only a theory mind, I could be in the wrong forest let alone the tree I'm looking at.
