Erm,

If I understand this correctly. A military leader may be staging a coup against the government leader/s because he is annoyed over the fact thay they are pardoning some people that planned a coup some time ago. :? :? :? :? :?

Military chief Cmdr Frank Bainimarama refused to say if a coup was under way but said the moves were aimed at preventing any outbreak of violence.
It's apparently not a coup until that man says it is. Otherwise he's just looking out for his people, apparently.

Fantastic. I love this sort of thing. Thailand was the last one. About time the British Army got the finger out

Very interesting place is Fiji.I visited before the string of coups but the writing has been on the wall there for a very long time.A bit like Lebanon, but more idyllic to look at.
