Could have quite easily have been one of the motorcyclists or a pedestrian that he used to stop if it hadn't been the post.
Really hope he was done big time, probably only got a parking ticket though.
For rampant stupidity like that the police should just take his licence and rip it up then make him do community service as a lollipopman for 30 years.
