Flooding - these are a few of the town centre today taken on my mobile. In the fist pic, the river is usually several metres in front of the trees and the boat park should be on dry land. Just downstream the flooding is into residential streets, people have their sandbags out.

(why does the government and councils approve the building of houses etc on flood plains?)

Those pics are the town centre, not the more outlying areas - a village called Atcham just a few miles down the road is badly flooded. Bridgnorth will get it tomorrow, Worcester will get it Sunday.

Ah well, at least it was a rough area and not somewhere nice like Telford.
