Merry xmas updated - New breed of dog found... the reinamute

Have a good xmas everyone, took this of Lupo the other day when he was having a good 5 minutes, right before he went outside to try and dig the worlds largest crater in our back garden. He then came in looking like this....

Yep, getting very big now. he met some malamutes (3 mals and an ausie sheepdog) for the first time today since leaving his mum...

seeing him next to those made us realise just how much growing he still has to do. He'll be 3 months old on 14th december, when he reaches 5 or 6 months i'll start training him up for working. i'm hoping to do some of the amature rallies next winter on the rig.

Awwwww wow what a gorgeous puppy :D what breed is he, he looks like a husky, i went on a husky sled ride when i was in Alaska a couple of years ago... they are really fast.

Hi Kelly, yes he is lovely, He's and Alaskan Malamute, so similar to a husky, just a lot bigger and a lot stronger. Hopefully next year i wont have to go to alaska to have a go with the Sled dogs, I'll have my own one to take out!

No doubt about it, he's going to be huge, i have some pictures on the flickr website of him playing with Ranger who is only 10 months so not even fully grown and Lupo is tiny in comparison., just goes to show how much Lupo has to grow, for those that saw him at Guildford Massive last night he is already a big dog for 3 months, and for him to be as big as that boarder collie (think it was a cross anyway).

As for that first pic... you have no idea how long it took to get him to sit still, loads of food bribes.

I don't really notice how big he is getting as i am with him all day, it is when he does something that he couldn't do a couple of days ago, like being able to jump up to reach the door handle to let himself outside. or being able to reach the kitchen counter to steal leftovers, thats when i really notice how big he is getting.

I'll also add some more at the weekend when we get back from Ringwood Forest after watching the dog sleds (although with lack of snow they'll be using a 3 wheeled rig but still cool).
