View Full Version : New Years Eve plans.
Well I haven't got any, as Jax is away with PJ as I couldn't get the time off work, so I'll be at home alone.
Anyone fancy a guest, or made any plans yet?
Else it will just be me at home with a movie and a old Xbox... not even a nice new Wii as I can't spare the cash.

Well Dan, I've got no more choice than you it seems, although the best I can expect is to be in and operated on, but apart from that it's stuck at home being a good boy and following doctors orders :(

I'll bring the sugar free shortbread then...
sorry i will be working .. yet again
I won't be volunteering for any forum related shinannigans because I seem to be held accountable for the U-rating and the inconsistency that's been detected in the moderation of the site.
Yeah, I'm a bit peeved.

well I'm more the captive audience, so at least you know someone who will be in that evening.
as to the Shortbread, I've got £35 worth of sugar free sweets on the way thanks to Ping's (http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?p=712166&highlight=#712166) thread . But shortbread is always welcome as is you company.
sorry i will be working .. yet again
you want company at any weired times, you know where I am, not matter when you finish, always a welcome here for you my luv  I'll save one of the midnight party things on sky+ and we can have it when you like.
Cheers Mark.

Ohhhh ... please elaborate ... what you been up to, I've missed all of this it would seem?!!? :) I thought I was the forum badboy, do I have competition?!!? ;)
Grinch - I haven't put any thought into this yet ... last couple of years I have been at house parties, but if I end up going out on the lash in Pompy (prolly Guild Hall), I'll let you know, then if you fancy it, you can come along and make up the numbers ... you know ... from 1 to 2!!!
Got nothing planned. Not going to give in and go where we went last year though!!! Rather stay in and shag!!

some of the youngsters (and not so) would probably kill for a plan like that and at best it'll cost them enough booze to drowned resistance

I'm spoilt for choice this year. I'm either going up to Sheffield for a big house party or going into Bristol for a bit psytrance party.
Either way I'll be getting wrecked, but the advantage to the Bristol plan is that there are people who'll get me home the following day.
Oh, and it's cold on the M1 at this time of year.
Rather stay in and shag!!

Probably have an early night
We don't have plans for New Years Eve either

 I won't ask how one person can be held accountable and that the one person alone is responsible and the fact that this person is a relatively new Mod at that - god only knows

Daytime in london drinking with some online gaming mates, evening nothing, probably just stay in bed and watch a film or two :?
and Ping, don't take it personally, it always happens, thats the fun of being a mod and why I gave it up 8)

Can't say better than Tara really about that. I personally don't think that the U-rating has been pushed too much, but then, I'm not a mod & I don't have to deal with it all.
:grouphug:
Anyway, about the new years plans... me & the Mrs will be lording it up in Edinburgh, with my folks & her folks sharing looking after the kids for a few days :D (sorry to gloat over those that don't have plans)
Got nothing planned. Not going to give in and go where we went last year though!!! Rather stay in and shag!!
So would I, but that ain't happening... unless it was a offer Viney
Anyway... the other option was to hope the weather nice, find somewhere scenic and wait big Ben to bong on a little radio...

Yep, have to admit I'm rather tempted to break the U-rating when I hear about nonsense like this... Let the next person to complain mod IB for a month :)
No idea what I'll be doing, was gonna do my yearly thing of spending the eve with my old mates in Peterborough but I'll prob have to work the evening so probably ain't got enough time to go up there.
My first sober NYE, I can't wait
I hate new year. I think I was psychologically damaged by my dad, who was a miserable **** at the best of times, and at new year it just got even worse.
Prolly follow Viney's lead I guess :D

Well I got to get the monkey suit on and smile and be happy.
Truth is I am a miserable sod (Not that any of you lot would dare to agree) and hate the whole spend too much, drink too much traditions of christmas and new year. Bah humbug.
Why do I have to wear my 5 year old monkey suite every new year and yet the misses gets a new frock every time we go to a bash?. Doh! more expense. All this just to get a shag

I don't have any plans this NYE either. Have been invited to a party with some quite mental friends so if all else fails.....
chinese meal followed by a brisk walk along the sea front at rustington
bit of champagne at midnight - if awake at that time - then retire to bed.
cooked breakfast in the morning followed by another walk then head off home.

my problems will be three-fold
1.) the bike will be at home, i'll not be at home
2.) won't fancy riding after a night on the sauce, altho not on a bender just don't wanna risk it.
3.) ride my bike in january? are you mad man!? :D

Sounds like this is calling for a .org late night rideout … the roads would be empty and everyone could bring in the new year riding with other .org patrons 8)
You won't get a hangover that way either ;)
I'm up for that... where shall we all meet? then head to Rictus's... lol
krazykim
13-12-06, 11:37 AM
Problem with that is that NYE usually entails drinking...and lots of it, but you'll all be riding.
So, Mark, how much floor space do you have exactly?
rictus01
13-12-06, 12:07 PM
Well lets see, given the Mrs has the main bedroom, I'm in the other, that leaves the spare room (although full of bike bits(big stuff)), the front room & dinning (although that to is full of stuff, have to blackmail the boy into emptying it  ).
so that's two big arm chairs, a recliner, a sofa and two rooms of floor space, at a push the computer room up stairs could be utilized as well, add to that 4 hallways.
But I always thought a hosts job was to make sure everyone got a running egg and rubber fatted bacon butty in the morning ?
Cheers Mark.
Are people still interested in this?

Just be grateful you're only being visited b Mr Lonely, his mates Mr Chronic Pain & Mr You're not getting any sleep are otherwise engaged at my gaff
Off to a hotel with the wife and a couple she knows. It would be OK but the lad in the couple drives an MR2 and it's the love of his life. HE never stops talking about it's dump valve, LED's etc. I just wish it was going to be dry tomorrow to show how £2000 of bike will embarrass his lovely expensive cage down the A6.
Can't wait for summer
