Christmas Holidays?

So, I have just come in, cracked open a cold one and settled down to a week and a bit off! Not back in now until 27th December (nights, excellent!) Really pleased 'cos it's my first Christmas off in the nine years since I started my current job.
So, who else is off, working, wants to blow off steam about their holiday or lack of it?



PS, first beer gone, second now being brought to me by my seven year old daughter who is desperate for a Niintendo DS. Well trained or what :lol: :lol:

Fri is my last day for either a week or two... dunno which yet though.

Finish 19.00 xmas eve, back 07.00 Boxing day morning, early turn till the thursday then off till the following Wenesday so have New Year off this year.

For the first time in about six years I'm not at work, on 24/7 call, or thinking about work at any time between 22nd and 27th :D

So I'm going to spend Christmas day with my family, walking the dogs, fitting my lowers (cheap, 2nd hand xmas pressie from eBay), going for a quick blat up Hartside :D, then back to dress for dinner (crazy family tradition :oops:), and wait for my other half to get back from Essex, then it's dinner and presents.

Oh, and I'll probably fit in a bit of drinking after the ride 8)

Unfortunately i'll not be at home, so wont have the opportunity of getting out on the bike... might get out on my sister's 600 Bandit though :D (If I do a good enough job servicing it for her)

Finished my last stint on-call until 9:00am on New Years Day at 9:00am this morning.

Working daytime until Friday, although last day is nothing more than turn up and take part in the Dept Quiz :D

Put the tree up this evening so starting to get into the festive mood. Up until a couple of hours ago I was grumpy and "humbugish".

Just watched the 2nd part of Hogwatch on SkyOne (excellent, btw) and will be okay once I've go a few pressies in for the family.

I hate being on-call - can't relax, but its over now.

Went into work yesterday about to do my 24th day at work in a row when my boss comes up to me and says "jai, you still have 4 days paid leave left this year. take the rest of the week off" 8)

Filming a nativity play today, then blessed relief until the 2nd of jan (When I'm in at 6am!) :roll:

Oh dear...sounds like someone needs to watch the christmas episodes of The Vicar of Dibley back to back! (puts me in an xmas mood). Or! go smell a real xmas tree..

[EDIT] oh yea, Xmas holiday. Well, mine is three weeks holiday before I go back to uni for exams in january. I only have three (sweeet, normaly four) then after my last exam I have a couple more weeks off before the next semester begins; hopefully I can get some good weather to take my girlfreind out on the SV. And I have time to go to the Ally Pally SuperBike Mag bike show :D

Yeh,I'm off-----------Rushed off my feet trying to get loads of old stock into the shops for the start
of the sales and thoroughly pi55ed off with parking tickets in the West End and City,bloody cameras £300 so far and still two days to go,plus whats in the post. Unfortunately a lot of this stuff is hanging garments to shops that have no trades entrances so no option------so enjoy the sales
On a more cheerie note finish Thurs night till 3rd Jan

I shall be on nights over the weekend finishing at 0700(hopefully)on Xmas day.
Back in on Thursday to Sunday(not nights this time)so off New Year's Day.
Sometimes I think I need a new job.Come to think of it I think that quite often these days.
