Finally got round to replacing the one that got snapped off back on 30th August. Had the spare part sitting round from mid-September onwards.
That was a simple job - 5 minutes. Dont' know what all the fuss was about. One nut & bolt. Job done. Even altered the brake lever to make it tighter/more responsive quicker.
