My house seems to be infested with mischievous pixies at the moment.

They've hidden all my 10mm spanners and my 1/4" drive 10mm socket.
On Saturday I wanted to take some pics of my new bike but couldn't find my camera. The pixies had hidden it in my motocross boots.

As I was on the way to get my road tax the other day they swapped the correct insurance certificate for last years expired one.

And now the little *******s have hidden my driving license !

Does anyone else suffer at the hands of these troublesome little sprites.

 :santa:

Pens have a life of their own....pens and teaspoons conspire against us...

Pixies are defiantly in operation my house it seems they particularly like to hide driving licenses..they take great joy in putting things back where you've just looked...infact they placed my glasses on my head..the other day when i was looking for them

I spent 2 hours looking for the alarm blipper. Searched just about everywhere, all the places that it just could not possible be. Finally gave up, will have to use the spare and order a replacement, put on my boots and there it is.

This pixie also likes to hide the TV remote.

I found my driving licence, turns out it had been moved by a pixie.
In fact it had been moved by the Evil Queen of the Pixies herself (Mrs Tricky)

Stop
With your feet on the air and your head on the ground
Try this trick and spin it.
Your head will collapse if there's nothing in it
And you'll ask yourself
Where is my mind? Where is my mind? Where is my mind?

Way out in the water
See it swimmin'

I was swimmin' in the Carribean
Animals were hiding behind the rocks
Except the little fish
But they told me, he swears
Tryin' to talk to me to me to me

Where is my mind? Where is my mind? Where is my mind?

Yup prefer the earlier stuff, but there was some pretty good stuff on trompe le monde (eg planet of sound - used to do a cover of that when I was in a band ).

Awesome band live.

Pxies have been here this morning too. Can't find my wallet or my phone. Tried calling my phone but I didn't hear it ring....

Does anyone else have the "tidy" pixie ? You know the one who moves things when they think your desk (or whatever) needs to be tidied up, but then nobody knows where anything is ? I'd swear it was Mrs Jelster but she says it ain't her

As well as having house pixies (   ) I also have a troll that lives in my garage.

No matter how tidy I try and keep it, every now and again the little bugger gets my tool boxes out and randomly shuffles the tools - it also takes half of them out and leaves them on random shelves or tucked away in cupboards.

It also seems to have a sideline in collecting empty coolant and oil canisters, rusty nails, old hinges and scraps of wood.

I been told that it is also the guardian of my wife's collection of Gardening Magazines (the ones that 'only' cost £4-99 per week for 25 years, but you do get a free binder with the first issue) and that if I ever remove them from the garage (i.e. to the dump) then I will be cursed.

No pixies here, just one angry gorilla who visits me at weekends...y'know the one that visits after a night on the cider.
The state of the house when i woke up this morning

That pesky creature had tried to make a fry up in the middle of the night and left the kitchen in **** state, threw all my clothes around the house, he must've put my shoes on and went in the garden judging by the muddy footprints in the dining room, stole all the money out of my wallet, by the orrible taste i had in my mouth he must've taken a dump too :? and apparently he got all frisky with mrs cuffy at stupid o clock this morning.

Anyone else get the gorilla visits? :D

Death to the Pixies!

they're probably my favourite band. I saw them at Ally Pally late-05 - I have a double live CD of that night that they did limited edition :-)

I have "catcher" pixies in the garage which are the worst kind.

These are the ones that catch any dropped nuts, bolts, washers etc and spirit them away to pixie land.

I was working on my bike the other night and a dropped a bolt. I searched round for ten minutes but couldn't find it so I had to get a new one out of the bolt box.

The next day I cleared all the crap out of the garage and swept the floor. The bolt was nowhere to be seen. Pixies, no other explanation.

I blame the female pixies. They're especially bad at removing things and spiriting them away. Even in the garage

I find that, while you might think there are "catcher pixies" in operation, you might in fact have Fridge Suck (tm) switched on. Frigde Suck (tm) ensures that all small things, when dropped, will find their way directly under the fridge.
On almost all models of Fridge, there is no way of switching Suck off, or even turn it down.

You might have encountered Ground Suck also, when you leave something carefully balanced somewhere, until a momentary surge of Ground Suck overwhelms your careful balancing, and drags the item balanced down to the ground.
Ground suck prefers things that are spillable and or breakable.

Strictly speaking they're not Pixies but Brownies that have been ****ed off.

Have any of you been leaving out your saucer of milk? No?

There you go then - angry Brownies. Keep em sweet and they do all manner of helpful things round the house, tidying up, ensuring any lost keys or remotes are conveniently placed down the back of the sofa so you'll find them. Stuff like that.

Oh yeah, and don't get them confused with hedgehogs either. Keep them sweet and they do nice things in your garden like eating all the slugs... but, and this is very important - don't feed them a saucer of milk. It's actually quite bad for them and they much prefer cat food instead - just not any variety with fish in.

Don't even go there, the little monsters hid the key to the basement and i just had to break the door down with a sledge hammer. No doubt they'll put it back later....
