Just went xscape at Braehead, just south of Glasgow today... What a place, it's like a playpark for grownups. 10-pin bowling, a high climbing wall, cinema, crazy golf, football things, shops, food, bars- lots of bars... but the absolute winner- indoor ski slope! Maybe I'm out of date but I'd never seen anything like it, they've got a huge refrigerated room with a proper snow skislope.

200 metre slope, plus a kiddies/training slope, plus they hire out all the gear. The also do sledging, but cruelly that seems to just be for kids
Anyway, sounds daft but we didn't do half of the good stuff today and it was still fantastic... Some bits were closed, or not yet open, but it's still got enough stuff to keep people going for a day. Anyone else fancy it? It's like going on holiday to the alps, without the breaking the leg on day one and wasting the rest of your holidays in a foreign hospital...

********, should've realised this would happen :) OK, provisionally some time in late Feb, try and make it late afternoon-meal-evening if the open hours stay as they are? Skiing not compulsory :) There's so much to do, that it'd make sense to limit it a wee bit, otherwise we'll all be there basically by ourselves :)
What do you reckon?

Andy, with your track record for damaging yourself should you really be skiing in a confined space, no trees to hit but walls smart too...
I'm into it though, Kirsteen wants to come along too...

She can go pillion :) I'll not be skiing, very bad idea when your leg's held on with string and glue, ut I might have a wee crack (so to speak) on a board. Lets be honest here, I could dismember myself playing the crazy golf, so no point in avoiding the dangerous stuff :)
organise it! :D

Of Course it would share and share alike. Just remember that I have set that very high standard for Ecosse get togethers!
I'm sure you'll be great @ it if you need help give me a nudge and I'll give you a hand I normally have some time in the office to surf and phone around. I normally do it under a work guise - i've been asked to look into ....... 8)

Get it arranged - no weekdays in the afternoon!!! Some people have work to attend to!!
I'm up for a wee bit of ski-ing / snowboarding / legbreaking.....
I'd quite like the climbing wall to see how unfit I've become recently
Looked up that website - 2 hours for £25 offpeak.

Yep, OK then. Weekend, goes without saying I reckon- weekdays would be quieter but there's no point if no-one can go. What do we reckon about the back half of february? Any particular days to avoid?
Yeah! Def count me in!!! SNOWBALL FIGHTS ???! :D

Don't think you're allowed snowball fights... We watched for about an hour and nobody threw one, that's not natural :) Seems like a missed opportunity, imagine having your office night out there- drinks, snowball fights, more drinks...

Just got back from here this evening after driving down from Aberdeen for the day... The centre was very overcrowded, as was the queue for tickets and the slope too. Got to the ticket desk at 17:03 (after queueing for 20 minutes) and asked for a 2hr ticket. Was told that they were unable to sell us a ticket due to the slope being "groomed" at 6-7pm and because it was 3 minutes past the hour the computer wouldnt allow a 1hr session from 5-6pm
7pm-11pm is freestyle on fri/sat/sun so ended up driving approx 300 miles for nothing.
There is NO mention on their website about the slope being closed at any time for "grooming"
Tip if you intend going... book beforehand!
