K2 Naked - carburettor O rings?

What size o rings should I have on standby if I had to take the choke plungers out of my carbs? I did try a search on this without success.

Whilst I can't tell you what the size is, the "o" rings are on the plunger, which in turn is on the cable.

So you won't be fitting separate "o" rings, and if replacing the cable it will come with new rings fitted.

I looked at that.... I hope I dont have to replace the cable, and the manual says to replace the o ring if you withdraw the plunger. I assume that was the official suzuki manual? It refers to a 'starter plunger', Haynes refers to a 'choke'.

Mark, the cables come with nothing attached AFAIR. Everything else needs to be bought seperately.

John, the 'O' rings you get from your dealer. Although the manual does say to replace, I only really replace them if split, chunks off etc. Saying that no harm in getting some if you can wait to get them before starting.

If the are okay, I use a bit of grease(as states in manual) coating the grooves where the O Rings sit and the 'O' rings. Don't go too mad :) . Excess is wiped off with just a light layer on the outside of the 'O' ring. All you are looking for is stopping any fluid going past the 'O' rings but also don't want excess grease floating around inside.

Personally I use Silicon grease. Well actually the Di-electric silicon grease is use for the front spark plug. I just find it the right consistency I need, that's all(JPO). Once all put back(plunger/holder screwed back on etc) and I also put some grease on the outside as belts n braces. Okay, means if you have to take carbs off me you have to clean that off first but it's a small price for me. The plunger end of the cable may also have a bit of rust on the outside(where the boots are) so may need light sanding with to make it as smooth as you can. A tiny bit is also put on the boots.

Hmm... I know the post are all a bit long nand make it sound more complex than it is but I work better on bikes than I type :) . Hope makes sense anyways and helps.
